Examination and testing

In order to screen and diagnose Buerger’s disease, vascular examinations are performed along with the ankle-brachial index. Also, in case of suspicion of other causes of vascular blockage and narrowing, a blood test is performed. Visits, examinations, and tests are free for Buerger patients, and a 30% discount for other vascular patients such as diabetics

Wound biopsy and bandaging

One of the complications of peripheral vascular diseases is the formation of wounds on the organs that do not heal after more than a month. Providing medicine and hospitalizing the patients

Blood-thinning medications and anti coagulant drugs such as Apixaban, vasodilator drugs such as Pletal, and anti inflammatory drugs such as indomethacin are provided by the association for free for Buerger patients. If the patient needs hospitalization to receive an Alprostadil injection or amputation, the hospitalization expenses will be paid by the association

Prosthetic and artificial leg preparation for Buerger patients

With the help of the Iranian Red Crescent and welfare, the Buerger Society provides prosthetic legs for patients who have suffered limb amputation for free and accompanies the patient to return to social life fast 

Ankle-brachial index (ABI)

This test is performed along with measuring the pressure of the big toe in order to screen, diagnose and respond to the treatment of peripheral vascular diseases, including Buerger’s disease. This test is free for Burger’s patients, but for people with other peripheral vascular diseases, it is offered with a 30% discount
